Munazza Muhammad is CEO of the Traveling Muslimahs, a travel group she developed exclusively for Muslim women, meeting their unique needs. Since it’s inception in 2017, the Traveling Muslimahs have travelled to numerous domestic destinations, as well as five countries and three continents. Munazza grew up in the Philadelphia Muslim community, the child of entrepreneurs, her mother a teacher who managed her own school and her father, a contractor, thus entrepreneurship is in her blood. Prior to founding the Traveling Muslimahs, Munazzastarted several businesses including the M’Squard Fashion line and a transportation service. After her mother returned to Allah in 2016, Munazza became the schools’ primary administrator, carrying the family legacy of entrepreneurship. After completing umrah (minor pilgrimage as compared to the larger annual Hajj pilgrimage) Munazza founded the Traveling Muslimahs in hopes of providing Muslim women the opportunity to travel together, forming bonds of sisterhood and catering to the unique needs of Muslimahs while traveling, such as prayer time and halal meals. She set a goal to recruit and register 100 members by the end of 2018. In October 2018 she reached that goal and is looking forward to the next travel destinations for the group including Thailand, South Africa and Italy. Its only February 2019 and Munazza and her Traveling Muslimahs have been to Iceland…twice, Morocco, Spain, United arab emirates, Miami, Florida.Rome, Italy, and is Headed to Cartagena Colombia in 2 days inshallah!
